On December 13, 2024, Nanchang Tianxing Genesis School held a League Day Activity themed "Remember the December 9 Movement, Forge Ahead with Resolve".

First of all, Teacher Liang Sha, Secretary of the School Communist Youth League Committee, explained the theme and significance of the activity to all League members. This year marks the 89th anniversary of the December 9 Movement for National Salvation against Japanese Aggression. All young League members should keep history firmly in mind and foster a deep sense of patriotism.

In the first session, all League members stood up and sang the League anthem Glorious, Communist Youth League of China. Their resonant, unified singing embodied the vitality and youthful spirit of young League members in the new era.

In the second session, teachers and students jointly studied the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China. They also learned the important instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping on social work, which stress that we must unswervingly follow the path of socialist social governance with Chinese characteristics and advance high-quality development of social work in the new era.

In the third session, young League members held an active discussion on the topic: "Combining their own positions and job responsibilities as League members, exchange and discuss how to draw spiritual strength for forging ahead through learning, reflection, practice and comprehension, and effectively translate learning outcomes into strong motivation and tangible achievements for performing all tasks well."

Wu Yimai, a League member from Grade 10, shared his views: "Young people in the new era should integrate the spirit of forging ahead into their study and daily life. We ought to embody this spirit while handling every trivial matter, fulfilling every task and carrying out every duty. We must dare to temper ourselves, foster a stronger sense of urgency in learning, and strive to master scientific, cultural knowledge and practical skills."

Xie An'an, a League member of Grade 12, analyzed how to turn the perseverance to forge ahead into motivation for sprinting toward the college entrance examination and improving academic performance from the perspective of preparing for the gaokao. She stated, "First, set detailed goals. Second, balance work and rest and stay down-to-earth throughout the learning process. Lastly, conduct summaries and reflections at every stage of study."

In the fourth session, all young League members stood up. Led by Lei Yanhan, the student in charge of organization work, they revisited the oath of joining the Communist Youth League together.

In the fifth session, League members collectively paid their League membership dues for this month.

In the final patriotic education session, Teacher Liang Sha used pictures and historical events to help young League members gain a more thorough understanding of the origin of the National Memorial Day for Nanjing Massacre Victims on December 13. As time marches forward, young people of the new era should look back on history. They must bear in mind the sufferings our nation endured, recognize that the happy life we enjoy today did not come easily, and foster within themselves the resolve to rejuvenate the Chinese nation.
