Math Trail
A Math Trail is an unconventional math teaching method. It leverages campus and surrounding venues to design a series of hands-on mathematical experiences and challenging activities, including calculation, estimation, measurement, geometric exploration and reasoning.
One Math Trail lesson is held every week. Its core concept and goal are to utilize the campus and existing on-site resources to guide Tianxing students to observe, identify and discover mathematical elements in their surroundings from a mathematical perspective. Students can flexibly apply what they have learned to conduct collaborative inquiry, continuously improve their mathematical literacy and spark their interest in mathematics.
The Math Trail represents more than an innovative teaching reform; it also serves as a strategy to enrich campus culture and offers a brand-new approach to innovating the campus environment.
